Yesterday Simon Black provided a great article illustrating socialism on a street corner. Today he’s continued the thought from a legislative perspective. People need jobs. In today’s article Simon observes, “The only employment created by legislation are government jobs to staff all those new agencies and bureaus.” Rather than stepping back and letting the market do what it does, politicians are working vigorously to make new jobs with tax dollars. Of course, this is exactly what our nation of debt needs, to spend more money on jobs. Of course, if we spend more money we’ll quickly be on our way out of a recession. Other than this brief summary, we really can’t add to his excellent observations. We encourage you to read Is This a “Jobs” Super Committee?
